xiaoyu was an adopted dog. i was active in fostering n rehoming dogs with ASD when i was in poly. xiaoyu was one of them to be rehomed. she is an austrialian pedigred with full cert. her owner specially imported her to SIN. they lived in a semi D in yew tee area. u will think such family will sayang her alot. WRONG!
They put her in a play pen laid with newspaper outside their house at the driveway 24/7 rain or shine. changes the paper onli once a day. she eats, slp, drinks and shit all in the small area. she underbody is corroded with the papers' ink. she has NO FUR at all as the 毛孔 all blocked with ink! she has a layer of black stuff growing there. doc said they are dirt and bactieral accumulated and becomes tt black stuff stuck there PERMANENTLY.
when i went to pick xiaoyu up, i was worried. i was warned she is snappy, defensive and aggressive. she loved me! when i 1st tried touching her forehead, she gave me her head and waited for me to sayang her. i tried rubbing her tummy and i was surprised she let me to it too! to dogs, tummy rubbing is onli allowed to ppl they trust. she noe me for less than 5 mins n i can do tt! this is what i call FATE. since i have no prob with her, she's home with me. she was then 8 yrs old.
i tried to rehome her for 2yrs. its was very difficult. no one will wan to take a senior dog who bites at everyone and has VERY bad body odor. my parents developed 感情 with her and pity her. she is slowly doing better and we tot even if we manage to rehome her. she need time to adapt to new evironment and learn her new owner. it will be stressful for her. so we all decided to take her. and so she is permanently ours! yeppy!
Chibi nv liked her. haha! she alwaz tot with xiaoyu ard, her status in the family is threaten. But Chibi NV realise, we alwaz see her as our daughter and Xiaoyu is our PET. she is alwaz jealous over xiaoyu. haiz! stupid chibi.
xiaoyu is someone very introvate. she dun fight for things. she accept what is given n nv ask for more. mayb due to her past experience she nv knew human will sayang her. alwaz quiet n did her duty as a dog. not like chibi onli eat n slp n kao bei forever behaving like a big baby.
alwaz remember the 1st time xiaoyu came n live with us. we left the gals home alone n went out for dinner. i used to work for pet lovers n had tons of dog food and snacks sample. i had 4 racks of them and some fish food in the rack as well. when we got home, we realised xiaoyu push the rack down. all the food fell out, she torn open EVERY SINGLE PACKET and eat ALL of them!!! tt includes the fish food! scary!
she is forever feeling hungry as her previous owner onli fed her 1/4 cup of kibbles on the grounds she is a senior dog. fuck lah. she shd still get the same quantity of food but on senior formula! one thing abt xiaoyu. no matter how much she loves to eat, she alwaz allows chibi to choose the food, if chibi wans her food, she will sacrifies and gif it to chibi. she nv touches chibi's bowl unless chibi is done with it. she will vaccum the remainder. she is such a darling. until now my mum misses her for cleaning up the leftovers.. haha
chibi loves to bully her. she loves to push her away from where ever she is slping and occupy tt space. best part is! xiaoyu happily move away. when ever we cane chibi for being naughty xiaoyu will rush over n protect her. standin in front of her and kenna all the caning for her. so sweet! tts applies to me too! if sometimes my mum slap my fat arms she will bark at mama angrily! oooohhhh!!
its a pity she dunno how to 討人疼. gong gong wan. daddy n mama dun used to like her. alwaz say she is a piece of shit stuck with 4 legs walking in our house. after they get to noe her better, they realise she is a darling. juz dunno how to express herself.
she loves fruits! any fruits. my mum ever hang an apple in a paper bag on the door. the next day when she wanted to leave home, took the bag n realised its EMPTY! 3 days later, when she vaccum the floor, she found an apple stem and some apple seeds under xiaoyu's bed... -_-"" smart gal! until today, we wonder how she took the apple without tearin the paper bag. it was still nicely hanged on the door aft the stealing.
another occansion. xiaoyu is crazy over liulian. she loves bitter ones. she is so crazy tt one day, aft we ate the liulian, we wrap up everything, put in a plastic bag, left it by the door. plan to throw it away the next day when mama leaving for work. we woke up n was in a horrible SHOCK! xiaoyu ate all the pointed edges off the shell of liulian! imagine the liulian ka almost white with no sharp pointys!! haha!
happy times dun last long. esp for her. i sometimes find she very 命苦.. finali found a family who accept her n love her yet has to go..
she was diagnosed with cancer ard july 07. we immediately operated her.. doc mention its difficult on her as she is old n might not pull thru.. i was very very worried.... but she is a fighter. tho she was weak aft the op, she recover fast!
3months later she had a relapse. doc said they cant op her anymore. too old to go thru another op in such a short span of time. all we could do is keep her happy n monitor her condition.
one day i came home, we found blood drop all over the house. we tot chibi's auntie came until we saw xiaoyu. my mum n i cried. we knew she couldnt make it liao. her lump on her neck rupture and was bleeding..
my mum bathe her and feed her alot of food she loves. told her if she feeling 辛苦 juz let go. dun suffer dun fight anymore. for once after the relapse she looks sober n tryin to make out wat my mum saying. she was actuali not very conscious aft the relapse. alwaz tired, slpy n no appetite..
the next day i drove her to doc. doc said the cancer lump grewing at an extremely fast speed. the skin ard the area unable to catch up with the speed. therefore it tore.
2 options were offered. to put to slp or prescribe painkillers for her and lotions to clean the wound and let xiaoyu decide when she wanne stop fighting herself.
it was a difficult decision to make. but i choose the 1st option. i can see she is in horrible pain yet she keep fightin to be able to stay with us. i dun mind nursing her but i have to fly n if my mum were to do tt alone, she will go into depression.
i sat outside the clinic with her for the last half hour. tryin to tell her i'm sorry. took a bunch of pics of her. she hates taking pics. she nv looks into camera. not like chibi the cam whore. xiaoyu is very shy person. but this time she nv struggle when i took them. she juz sat there.
finali when the doc put her to slp, i almost cant breathe n cry like dog. she din close her eyes even aft she passed on. i keep asking nelson is she angry with me for puttin her to slp tts y 死不瞑目 or she juz wanne see us till her last breath.
thank God nelson was there. all i could do then was huggin xiaoyu cold body n cry non stop. he help me with arranging the cremation and stuff.
chibi was surprisely upset too! since she nv get along with xiaoyu. chibi hide under her fav table n nv came out. not for food not for water onli to pee. when we call her she refuse to come out too. she was there for 3 days. looking sian sian. until today, when we ask her "xiaoyu leh??" she will walk to the shelf where her urn is. i wonder how this hate love relationship works btw the gals?
i will alwaz miss you. you are a little gloomy star in the sky. u nv shine and alwaz hide in yr little corner behind the clouds. but u brighten up my life. you are THE star! thanx for being part of my life. showering me with lotsa love. other than my mummy, u are the next person who gave me uncondition love. thank you!
